Bjäre Invest present at the inauguration of The Range at The National
When The National recently inaugurated The Range, it marked the next step in the development of the facility. With the ceremonial first shot, taken by Peter Hanson, one of the Nordic region’s largest and most advanced experience-driven driving range facilities officially opened.
From an ownership perspective, the investment forms part of a long-term effort to strengthen The National’s position as Sweden’s national golf arena.
The Range features two levels with a total of 40 hitting bays and 20 studios equipped with the latest Trackman technology. The facility combines practice, play, and social spaces within a weatherproof environment that can be enjoyed year-round. It also offers opportunities for conferences and golf equipment fittings.
Golf continues to grow in popularity nationally, while the game is increasingly evolving beyond traditional golf courses through indoor golf and driving range concepts, often referred to as “off-course golf”. The Range has been developed with this market trend in mind.
“We see significant potential in The National and work actively alongside the other owners to continue developing the facility. The Range is an investment that strengthens the overall offering, creates more reasons to visit, and contributes to increased activity throughout the year,” says Per Gullstrand, CEO of Bjäre Invest.
In addition to golf, the facility offers a restaurant, bar, shuffleboard, and darts, creating new opportunities for companies, groups, and private visitors to meet and socialise even during the winter season.
The investment forms part of the long-term vision of establishing The National as Sweden’s national golf arena and an attractive destination regardless of season.
For Bjäre Invest, active ownership means taking responsibility for the long-term development of its businesses. Investments that enhance competitiveness, broaden the offering, and create new revenue opportunities are an important part of that commitment.
