Expanded operations at Rönneholm Castle
Located in the heart of Skåne, between Eslöv and Höör, Rönneholm Castle enjoys a beautiful setting alongside the Rönne River. While the exact age of the castle remains unknown, its history dates back to the early Middle Ages. In 1811, the castle was rebuilt in the French Renaissance style, and a third floor was added in 1882. Although the castle suffered extensive fire damage in 1941, it was subsequently restored. Today, the main building and the surrounding park buildings are occupied by tenants of Rönneholm Slotts AB, including the Swedish Prison and Probation Service and Nämndemansgården. The scenic, peaceful, and secluded location has made Rönneholm a natural setting for healthcare and addiction rehabilitation services for more than 25 years.
Nämndemansgården is Sweden’s leading organisation in the field of addiction treatment and works to reduce the consequences of harmful use and dependency related to alcohol, drugs, and gambling, both in society, the workplace, and for individuals. At Rönneholm, Nämndemansgården operates a treatment centre for women with alcohol and substance abuse problems. Women from across Sweden come here to receive support and treatment on their journey towards recovery and a life free from addiction.
