Renovation of Ekerum Resort Öland
As Ekerum Resort Öland celebrates its 35th anniversary, the milestone is being marked with a major investment: a brand-new restaurant and a state-of-the-art kitchen in the resort’s main building. During the winter of 2024/2025, an extensive renovation programme was launched to create a unique new restaurant concept focused on culinary experiences, innovation, and the distinctive flavours of Öland.
Key elements of the renovation project include:
Complete kitchen renovation
The kitchen has undergone a full transformation. Existing walls were removed, a new dishwashing area was constructed, and durable resin flooring was installed to create a modern, efficient, and functional working environment.Restaurant transformation
The restaurant has been completely redesigned with an entirely new concept. Floors and walls were rebuilt, and the former bar area was removed to make way for a more contemporary design and greater flexibility.Spa enhancement
The spa has undergone a significant and long-awaited upgrade. New spaces and attractions have been created to offer guests an even broader range of experiences and further enhance their stay.Reception renewal
Work has been carried out on a new reception area, designed to become a central part of the resort’s welcoming atmosphere and an important visual enhancement of the property.Conference facilities upgrade
The conference rooms have also been upgraded to ensure that the meeting facilities meet the same high standard as the rest of the resort.
